Do you plan to spray the Zolatone yourselves? Did you do the floors?

The Zolatone is in! I just brought her home last night. The paint looks great. I had it done by Aj's Autobody in Wentzville Mo. He has tons of experience in spraying Zolatone and his customer service is top notch. If you live near St. Louis and need some painting done I strongly recomend his shop. You can find him on Facebook by searching Aj's Autobody.

Catching up.

It has been a while since I have posted on the cloud. Looks like my last post was some paint. I have since got the bed in with a wonderful matress. Once we had a bed and A/C we started camping and stoped working on the old girl.
Well over the winter we did some buying and some building. I now have every part I need except a furnace. I have the dinnette built and the dresser that sits next to the bed on the curb side. I also have the drawer part of the kitchen done. I am at a point now where I am going to have to start cutting holes in the side of her for the water heater, furnace and fridge. I am very very scared of this part.

Here are some pics I have taken as things have been built.

The drawers were completely rebuilt with all new wood. The frame was reused from the dresser but the out sides of it has all been replaced. The set that goes in the kitchen needed to be totly rebuilt as the wood had been real wet. The dinnete had to be built from scratch since I didnt have the originals to go from we just winged it. I am sure it is a little bigger than the one that was there. I wanted to be able to use it as a "couch" by turning the side cushins to the front and dropping the table. Before I can put it in I need to get the fresh water tank it and the covers for it that make up the very front of the trailer. The water pump and the converter will be under the bench on the street side. I am debating on ducting heat under the bench to keep the tank and lines warm but I am thinking the the heat generated from the converter will keep that enclosed area warm.

Shane,

The original dinette seats were nasty, lumpy, horse hair filled, ratcheting seats that you would NOT have wanted. Your dinette will look much better that the original.

You are doing a wonderful job on the woodwork. The dinette conversion into a couch is a great idea. We ( use WE with the liberty, my husband did all the work) cut a larger hole for our water heater too. He swore several times during the dismantle of the old one, they built the Airstream around the sucker. Good luck!

I put the dresser in this weekend and it went in without a fuss! I hope the rest of the pieces go in this easy. I also got the fresh water tank mounted so I can start on the half wall that will cover it. I started fine sanding the dinnette pieces today so they should be seeing some stain soon.
