Other important mods will be a 'Natures Head' comode, and a bigger grey tank now that there will be more room. Where are you at with your FC ?

The old panel had holes where the PO had hung something from it so needed replacing. I made the panel but didn't have the ability to put the rolled edge on it. Looks great now just needs bucking on. I also got the door in a door installed with the new hinges. Will add pics today.

Slowly moving forward, the wiring in the front is roughed in, the cork rib insulation for thermal separation is done. The front cap is finally up, so I'll begin to make patterns for the wood end caps. Feel like I'm beginning to round a corner.Click image for larger version

We finally got the rear interior whale tail panel hung now to Mach up the panels. The front wood cap is all up with two coats of varnish, will try and get a pic tomorrow. It's been hard to get much done with spring here. Gardens, grass, camping etc then a little each day on Spoon.Click image for larger version

Where did you find the 1/8" Birch? I'm having trouble locating a source.

Thanks,

Birch end panels

Really like the birch panels. How are you attaching them on the long edge? Last photo looks like there is a liner underneath. Details please.

thanks Harold

I put the original metal end caps back in as it gave good support for the wood panels where ever they lined up at. I attached the upper side of each piece with just a couple of rivets to hold in place while I fitted/adjusted the next piece., working from the bottom up. Once all pieces were fitted and in place, I took them apart, and put three coats of spar on the backs, stained the fronts and added two coats on them. Once completely done they, the insides, will get one more final coat. Once dried I re-aligned each piece, and as I worked my way up, where the bottom edge of the upper over lapped the upper edge of the bottom piece below it, I drilled and riveted the overlap every 5" 3/8 ' in from the edge. Clear as mud?
