My husband would like to know if there is anything he can use to get the POR-15 paint of his hands?

Ya'll are doing a beautiful job bringing your FC back to life. You will both be so proud of it when all the work is finished and you can use it to make those memories your daughter will never forget.

The only thing I know that takes POR-15 off your skin is . . . . . . time.

Please keep updating us on your progress, including lots & lots of photos of course.

Well lucky for us the Por is already fading from his hands and only visible on the tips of his fingers

Bert has been busy again. We had a hard time deciding what we should do with the axle (and tyres/brakes). We finally decided that we would replace it for a european axle with european brakes and tyres. So Bert has been busy today with removing the axle:

Happy New Year everybody!

Even though the weather is not too great Bert has been busy. The axle is replaced and we had new wheel housing (not sure what the right word is..) made by the welder who works at a workshop close by. Which is now installed by Bert. And we are now looking for the aluminum for the belly, so thats the next 'to do' on our list.

Due to failing hardware (human failure, hardware failing

) i had to rearrange my pictures. So a lot of them will turn up with an photobucket error

Is there a way to edit the old posts? If i can edit the link the pictures will show again.....

I believe you can press the "edit" button on your posts and change the links there. I'd love to know more about what you did for the axle.. looks like you added another piece of frame to the original frame? Also, interesting shock design... works not in compression but extension.

Edit expires after a while, so for my old posts that won't work unfortunatly.

About the axle... Not sure, hubby did al the work. But i'll ask him when he returnes from work.

It's a good thing the floor and belly are done now as it started freezing and snowing...

About the axle, the axle was slightly bigger than the original that is why my husband added some steel profiles to the frame to make it fit properly. I'm impressed that you even noticed, i didn't!

And the shocks, it is a torsion axle. If you google it you get a better description then i fabricate
