Wood in our
1954 safari is in remarkably good shape (in contrast to the flaking zolatone) No checking of finish just a very few rough or bumpy areas. We are interested in a minimalist approach to smoothing out the finish and lightly cleaning while retaining the vintage look and patina. Since we are new to Airstreams and to the site there are doubtlessly numerous postings that address this. Could someone give us advice or direct us to the most relevant resources/past postings? I think stripping and refinishing is much too aggressive an approach for this old treasure but someone with more experience may be able to offer good reasons why this belief is too optimistic. Thanks
