Winguard antenna

I'm trying too install a Winguard Senser II on my 24' Argosy. The Batwing is too long and hits the front vent.
Has anyone found a way around this?
I can mount it at an angle, just not crank it all the way down or mount it too the side. I don't realy want to mount it too the side as this would leave me with two sets of holes in the roof.
Any advise?

Don

Don,
Here is a thread where I posted some information on that subject. I mounted the antenna at a slight angle using the same hole that the old antenna mounted in. There is also a photo of a bracket I had made at a machine shop for the antenna to rest on. Hope this may be of some help!

Brackets

My batwing rests on a bracket above the center vent, the top of the antenna sits just below an imaginary line drawn across the top of the a/c unit. It is mounted in the stock mounting hole near the front vent.
The bracket is just a simple aluminum bar, on which the bottom of the antenna body rests when retracted.
So far this has not been a problem, because it does not stick outover the a/c shroud.
