Wall Removal

We are thinking of removing the common wall between our countertop/galley and the mid bunks. Our thought is this would open up the trailer a bit. Would this compromise the integrity of the trailer? Has anyone done this? How easy is it to remove a wall? Thanks for the advice!

The wall you are considering removing is non-load bearing other than the connection to the cabinets. You can remove it. Never done it myself.

The whole interior can be removed and not compromise the structure. The interior walls however are vital to the integrity of the shell.

I have just gutted the interior of my '78 sovereign (doin' the full monty). The wall you refer to in mine was the side of the cabinet and part of the bed frame and overhead bin were connected to it. The cabinet, bin, and bed were connected to the wall with screws accessible inside the cabinet and under the bed. The partition wall was riveted into an aluminum channel that is screwed into the exterior wall. The partition walls also held up the kitchen/bedroon door track.
