I'm finishing up a floor project using the same product - LVP by Mohawk (100% waterproof) - which has a very high stability factor of only (0.12% or on 4 ft plank that is 5/100's of an inch) this is important so that it won't buckle (expand) or shrink. I also used a "pressure sensitive" adhesive by "Flex-Tac" - very light application to prevent any possibility of planks hopping or lifting from road vibration (a nightmare with RV industry) Flex-Tac stays permanently soft (never dries)

Lifeproof Rigid Vinyl Planks

Just finished in our 23FB International Serenity. We love it so far! It is "Sterling Oak". Seems very durable and is waterproof. (Home Depot)

But, that part was not difficult at all. We did go from outside wall to outside wall so the floor is under the straight interior wooden walls but on the inside of the rounded aluminum walls.

Can you give your reasoning on doing wall to wall and then installing everything on top vs installing the floor around things? My husband and I are disagreeing on this lol.

Kathy,

Either way you do it it is possible to get a nice result with skill and planning.

The important thing about your plank choice is it’s “stability” rating Our was (0.12%). 5-140 f degrees.
Next use a waterbase “pressure-sensitive” floor adhesive for total stabilization horizontal and vertical vibration (yet removable) should other work be necessary down the road and where by planks can be refitted as cut or whole as necessary.

I choose to only remove the sofa and dining seating furniture as my only sub-floor damage on my 2007 FB was in the rear.
Removing the balance of the rigs equipment would have added a lot of work or expense ($6000) if you were paying for it.
I was able to complete my floor including all materials for under $1000 and the job looked like a Million.
Where I scribed around curves/radius ES I was “within” a 1/32. Cutting made easier by careful flame heating the back of planks (to warm.) Then use a Color match adhesive chalk fill that gap - it was a snap and looked totally professional and gave the appearance of going under and across the rig.

Not sure how to add pic here - but would be happy to show the finished product to anyone and speak by phone.

Good luck
Peter

Awesome! Great looking floor. Love the deeper grain look.

Sounds like you did your home work too. Enjoy your years of service - much better than original floor composition - likely the last floor if you watch your roof and the c-channnel/ wheel wells leaks

I have a cheap solution for Ext. C- Channel sealing too -

My best

Nice write up on your floor with good descriptions. We are also considering installing new flooring in our empty shell. It currently has some (new from last owner) glue down hard sturdy linoleum type tiles but they are not very appealing to me and are spaced a little far apart. If we decide to do the floor it needs to be soon as there is nothing in the trailer so this would be the perfect time. It would be the ideal time to do a one sheet product of some kind of marmoleum. Being in the Phoenix area we deal with extreme heat and anything we install needs to be stable enough to withstand being in the silver oven for several months. Thank you for your good information.

We installed it under everything because it was easier than cutting around all the obstacles. Also, we wanted a clean bottom under everything and we didn't want it to look broken up.

We had both original linoleum floors fail within months of purchase in both the 2014 Classic and the 2015 23D International Serenity flooring with great results. We replaced both floors with Marmoleum

Vinyl Plank - Marine Style

I am looking for a marine style teak and holly pattern luxury vinyl plank for my trailer. I have found a few large sheet style vinyl sheets, but am hoping to find planks. Does anyone have a source, other than Silver Trailer Supply? Nothing against them, but I am trying to set up a specific pattern, and their options won't let me put it together.

Thanks!
