Rotten Wood

What is the name of that stuff that you can treat Rotten wood with. I think it hardens its. Got Rot, Rid Rot, No Rot, Rot Rot. I have never used it but I am sure I have heard other's that used it on soft floor spots. I was at Home depot and Lowe's looking for it and they looked at me like I was crazy. which that may be.

I used it on a small spot too.. worked very well. Make sure there is good ventilation when using that product.

Minwax makes some too. Available at most hardware and lumber stores. I've used it and it works quite well. They have a wood hardener and a filler. The filler is a two part epoxy mixture. The hardener is a one part clear liquid that need to dry for at least 24 hours before using the filler based on my experience with the product.

Wood Rot

About 4 years ago I restored a 69/70 Globetrotter using the Rot Doctor products. I removed most of the cabinets and filled the few bad spots in the plywood floor with a filler also made be the Rot Doctor. I then applied about two gallons of the liquid Rot Doctor epoxy to the floor. You must be very careful with all of these type of products....respirator, fan, etc. The key to Rot Doctor is they make a more flexible product that has some give to it once it is cured...more like the natural wood. My floor has been perfect ever since. The Rot Doctor is based in Seattle, WA and sells on the net.
