Rocky Mountain Mattress for replacements?

Has anyone ordered from Rocky Mountain mattress? They advertise that they offer custom mattresses for airstreams based on the spec sheet from airstream so I’m considering it. Just curious if anyone has ordered, what did you order, and were you pleased with your purchase? We have a newly acquired ‘75 Sovereign and I’m looking to replace all the cushions/mattresses. They are currently covered in the original (disintegrating) upholstery and I’m worried about the cushion condition once I remove the covers. Any other suggestions are welcome.

Do a search here using the AirForums search box towards the top of the page. I remember some posts several years ago from folks that bought from them and liked what they got.

We bought 7" or 8" thick foam mattresses from Rocky Mt. when I did the FB queen to twin conversion a couple years ago-- I'd have to dig deep to find the receipt for the exact info. We LOVE them! They do have the factory curve specs on file but asked that I send a craft paper template just to be sure (since my remodel may not have matched original specs). They fit my platforms perfectly and were reasonably priced. They came vacuum packed in separate boxes and it didn't take long to get them. FYI, open the packages inside the trailer... They expand like an emergency life raft and can be a challenge to wrestle into the trailer once "inflated"! Click image for larger version

Lol. Thanks so much & glad to hear you like it. Do you recall if you got memory foam or latex?

AB Lifestyles https://www.ablifestyles.net/ is another company that makes bedding for Airstreams. We do not have a mattress from them, but the mattress cover and sheets we purchased from them are top quality and fit our double curved bed perfectly.

We bought a mattress from them several years ago and it is so much better than the original AS.
I think it was an 8" memory foam. A little on the firm side which is better than too soft.
They have the drawings from AS and cut the corner to match our sideways queen.

I requested cushion/mattress schematics from airstream, as requested by Rocky Mountain, (by providing VIN, etc) and just got this reply:

Hi Cathreine
I am sorry, We would not have information on mattress sizes

Have a good day

Dave

Suggestions?

We purchased a pillow top mattress from Airstream and it' wonderful. Perfect fit. We also added a wedge under the mattress so the head of the bed would be more inclined than the foot of the bed.

We ordered an 8" custom queen Rocky Mountain mattress for our 2013 25FB International Serenity. The drawing I have from Airstream works for any 25FB queen bed. We had ordered the Airstream 600 thread custom sheets and they fit the 8" RM mattress perfectly. They would have been loose on the stock 7" mattress.

We left the factory twin mattresses at the factory for our 2014 Classic. I have the Airstream drawings for these mattresses as well and we went eith the 8" RM mattress and the Airstream factory sheets were a perfect fit.

We got the 10" RM made for our 2015 23D International Serenity. Have these drawings as well but used RM sheets. The sheets were poorly done at best.

We also have a 12" RM King at home.

We Like Rocky Mountain mattresses. They also have latex models.

If someone needs the drawings, private message me with a real email address and I will send the appropriate factory drawings. If using the 8" thick mattresses, the factory 600 thread sheets can not be beat for comfort and fit.

I have heard of Rocky Montain Mattress ccoapmny and the folks we know how purchased were pleased.

We ordered a replacement mattress of our 2006 19' Bambi from Mattress Insder online. https://www.mattressinsider.com and we were pleased. They were referred by an AS owner and we referred another AS own to them. Word gets around.

25' FC Twin beds. Purchased two 8' foam mattresses from Rock Mountain Mattresses and have been very pleased with them about 1 year ago. Fit perfect.

We purchased our latex mattress from Rocky Mountain in 2012ish. They have you get the drawing* of the bed base from Airstream and they custom make it based on the drawing. Customer service was very good although it took them a week longer to get it to us than they promised.
We have been happy with our mattress and would do business with them again.

We replaced the island queen matress in our '14 27FB Classic with a 9" latex from Rocky Mountain three years ago. Expensive - but well worth it!

We had our Twin mattress made for us at the Mattress Factory in Phoenix. They had us come to the store and they assemble mattress that fit us using different foam, and I asked them to install top on both sides of each mattress so each year I swap them to the other side so no weak spot. Very happy with them now going on three years. A lot lighter and no springs

Yes I had a custom size for our ‘58 flying cloud with a very odd shape bed. I ordered their top of line bed and sent a template. It fits perfectly and is super comfortable! They were easy to work with as well.
