rebuilding my gaucho

OK, not sure how these things work, but my PO had installed some screw on legs to the front corners of the gaucho. I'm thinking that this wasn't standard airstream equipment, I have all the aluminium rails, do I need these ugly things, how did it work when it was original?

You might need the legs for extra support if you open the goucho to use it as a bed. Sal
