Overhead Locker in End Cap

Hey All,
We're renovating our 1995 34' Excella 1000. We have it almost gutted, but are having a problem getting the front end cap overhead locker down. We can't seem to find any screws or access panels that will get us to the attachment points. Attached is a picture. Any guidance that anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Jeff

Jeff,
I asked a similar question a few years ago and got very few answers. I'm now getting ready to tackle this issue again...planning to rebuild the rear cabinet differently using the same doors so the appearance will be similar. What have you done on your trailer?

Thanks,

Hi, I wondered the same thing. At the factory I saw that the end upper storage compartments were screwed to the aluminum interior skin before it was installed. So that piece of interior skin has to be removed to remove this cabinet. That means to me, that I will never remove mine.

You are correct. In our 1995 34' Excella 1000 the front locker appears to be attached to the interior skin and frame. I don't think we're getting it out of there. Keep in mind that this is our year and model of trailer, so yours may be different...and it is ONLY the front locker. All of the others came out just fine. Our 1991 25' had fiberglass lockers that were part of the endcaps, so we just removed and replaced them.

We've done a total gut and reno on our 25' and now we're doing the same on our 34' (New electrical, plumbing, propane lines, flooring, appliances, converting lights to LED).

Regards,
Jeff
