I have the original temperature dial in the front of my airstream. Any ideas on how to get this working for the outside temperature? The dials seem to be stuck on -40.
Any ideas?

tarh20,
There is a thermo-couple that runs through a plastic tube and exits under the trailer to read the outside temperature. Mine travels down the left wall, don't know about yours. The one on my trailer was twisted off, needless to say it didn't work either. I am in the process of designing an Arduino based electronic replacement that uses a small servo motor like is used to control RC aircraft models to move the needle.
The hardest part will be attaching the servo to the back of the old dial in the correct alignment.
PM me if you are interested in the plans when I get it done, and I'll let you know.
