kitchen faucet

We are looking for a kitchen sink single stem lever faucet that does not have a chrome base. It goes through the counter not the sink. It was the original kind in a 1970 Sovereign. If they are still available, where would we be able to find one. Thank for the help.

Why not just replace it with a new fixture? There are plenty of options avalable to you. Just go to one of you local kitchen supply stores or even a big box home store and select one that will fit your application. I did this with mine and am happier with the newer cartridges and fittings - they're easier to find for replacements, too.

For your faucet, what finish is on it? Most, if not all, or them I have seen have been chrome. If the faucet is outside of the sink, you would probably need an 8" faucet, rather than a 7" model. Delta and Moen both make these faucets, they can be found in most hardware stores, or Home Despot.

Discontinued / Sale Items - Marine

Try the above link. They sell discontinued RV and boat fixtures. Don't let discontinued cause you concern. They had the exact model of the Fontana fawcet in the 2006 and 2007 model Airstream in stock until just a few months ago. This is where I bought mine this past summer when I found my bathroom fixture valve body beyond repair and could not find the parts and Airstream wanted over $100 with shipping. They had the parts and the complete fawcet for under $30 - so now I have a spare. They have more than they list online.

Can you tell I found them very helpfull....

I recently replaced my single lever kitchen faucet with a new Moen single lever chrome faucet from Lowes. I am very pleased with the ease of install and operation. My new faucet has a sprayer and I installed the sprayer where I removed the filtered water dispenser. They had brass and antiqued brass faucets that were pretty and pricey. What did you have in mind if not a chrome base?
