Talking How do i repair my hood fan?

Yes, I am married to an electrician but I need a REAL expert to help me. My hood fan on my 1968 22' Safari bit the dust in the early 80's, it froze and that was the end of it. How do I get a new motor for it? Any advice on how to remove it from the cabinet to repaint it?

Thank you so much, Airstreamers!!!

I 'spect you take the motor out, see if it's got a tag with specs, and try to order a new one. Maybe Inland stocks them?

I just pulled the full range hood out of my 2002 Bambi. I happen to work in Mountain View. If you can use it you can have it.

I would go to Out-of-Doors mart's website and put in 510228 in their search and see if that is the motor you need.

We just pulled ours out of or Caravelle. If yours is the same, you just drill out a few rivets & remove 3 phillips head screws. Out it came.

Make sure you mark with a sharpie pen, each wire you undo, so you will be able to back track...those wires up there can be confusing, and sometimes there is an extra wire that nobody knows where its coming from and going to.
