Found a cool, ultra-mod sofa idea
Thought I'd pass this along, as it seems like a cool replacement for gauchos, sofa beds or dinettes.
The Tillary modular seating from West Elm has a very modern look and can be used as a bed just by removing the back cushions (which are weighted to keep them in place). I am thinking of buying two of them to create a new L-shaped sectional. They are very comfortable to sit on or lay on, which was my big concern. Also, because there are no sleeper mechanic or back frame, they are not too heavy. The downside? They are not cheap. One base with back cushions is $899, so for my "sectional" it will be $1,800.
