This is my second foray into the fun and exciting world of Airstream renovations! My first toe dip into the pool was with a 1973
Sovereign, but when I jumped in I got burned real bad when I discovered the water was way hotter (and deeper) than I first thought! (Can you say potential wallet buster?). I cut ties with that monster for exactly what I bought it for and the guy who bought it from me didn't even say thanks for me gutting it, taking off the interior skins and cleaning up all the rat cr@p, putting in a new 4x8 sheet of plywood across the back of that butt sagging back end, and generally being kind to small children and little animals! (What an ingrate right?) full disclosure: the dude had stars in his eyes when I took his money, an experience I remembered, so I guess I really shows him right? He's probably in the looney bin by now right? I mean it was a 73, with the wimpy oil embargo spawned narrow frame barely holding up a jillion pounds of stuff (not just black tank stuff) piled into the back of that beast, which I forgot to detect with the graceful "bumper bounce boogie" EVERYONE should do on those early 70's Sovereigns.
I digress...
I found a diamond in the rough last week (emphasis on ROUGH...)
So without further adieu...
Adoo...
Addu...
