Curtain replacement with a blind

I have a 20' Flying Cloud. I want to replace the front window center curtain section with a blind matching the other windows. Has anyone done this and what might be the pitfalls?

I just did this change on the bedroom side windows on my 2018 GT. I removed all the aluminum rails and installed the blinds. Had to drill new holes for the shades as they did not line up with the old holes. Bought my shades from AS dealer in LA.

we installed a room darkening in the BR and a duo room dark and sheer in living room. In both areas, we left the curtains as they were, just added the blinds.

I have been thinking of adding blinds (even the roll up type) to some of the windows in our 66 Safari. Could you rivet the blind hardware in or would small screws be better? Since the lower part of our curtains are held in by a long slender spring, I don't think there is enough clearance for the slat type of blind, but the curtains are not very heavy, so we have a great deal of early morning sunshine sneaking in...
