Curtain Rails on a 72 Sovereign
I am looking for someone that has pics of the rails that mount on the front interior ABS for the wrap around curtains and the side curtains for the front area. Mine were taken down by PO and trying to figure out what they look like and how they are mounted. I have pieces that I can't figure out what's what. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

They are 'C' channel alum. that is bent around bend and attached to brackets coming out from wall. They have little plastic things that run inside the track that the curtains are sewn to. Vintage and others carry the plastic runners.
Best to go look at a 70's AS. Most anyone in a park will be glad to show you - we're a friendly bunch!

Thanks for the info, that's why I am looking for some pics of the curtain rails since their are not any Airstreams near me that are my age. Hope somebody might have some or take a few and send so I can see what they look like.

I have a full set of relatively new curtains made for a 1971 Excella (31' with center bath and wraparound front sofa) if you are interested. The plastic "hardware" has little circles to fit into the grooves of the rails.

Curtain Rails
Well it looks like the PO threw my rails away before I bought it, I found a 3' piece that was all twisted up so now I guess I will have to make some for my windows. Beware when you buy a Airstream that has been partially taken apart and double check for missing parts. Thanks for all the responses. Jim

Sorry I didn't include the website when I posted. I do not speak computer fluently. Try this. These are the rails we used.

The oem small rails tend to bind when opening and closing the curtains. Silicone should help. Large curtain rails may slide easier. Any feedback out there?

We used the small track for curtains. However, our curtains are mostly stationary ones, and the only ones that actually slide back and forth are in our bedroom. I haven't had any problems with them binding, so far.
I THINK we used the larger track attached to the ceiling in the bathroom for the shower curtain. That one slides all the time and no problems.
I'd go out and measure for you but it's still below O degrees here....!

Kay,
Thanks for the info, stay warm I will look at mine and see which rails will work on mine the best when it warms up. It has been in the upper teens and low 20's here in Tennessee the past few days. Thanks Jim
