Bathroom renovation ideas??

I have a 1965 Airstream Tradewind Land Yacht and I'm planning on a complete renovation. I'm in need of any recommendations in each area like floor replacement (things to watch out for), belly pan removal (is it necessary), window frame and gear replacements (where to get them), rounded wall panels for corners (where to get them), complete change in the bathroom (taking out the fiberglass panels to include the tub, sink and toilet combo and replacing with suggestions) and appliances (like stove, refrigerator, furnace and water heater), roof vent replacements (with fan in the rear near bathroom A/C for the middle one and regular one in front). I believe this project to be a major one and can handle whatever needs to be done just need some tips from owners who have been through the stages of you don't mind.

im working on the same thing and would like advise on this too , so im interested what others write. im using laminate that is thin so I don't have to worry too much about weight and if it gets wet/dirty, im using dark almost black floors with bright white paint and the bathroom we will work on soon but if your looking for ideas of décor and colors you should type in spa bathroom airstream on google and check out that wet- bath that they have pictures of, its beautiful and you might like it !! good luck

Go to rally's and Airstream meetings, look inside every Airstream you can get to... take photos of what you really like, make notes on the year, materials used, etc. You can also look at all the photos here on the forum (might take a while!) and get ideas as well. It all depends on what you like/want. Bathrooms are usually very individual according to ones likes. I have seen many folks use their bathtub as storage only... so I have wondered why not keep a smaller shower and make more storage... Are you 6' 4" or 5' 3" all of that makes a difference!

If you are going to all the trouble to completely re-do and not just renovate or restore, you might as well make it what you like and want.

Have fun!

I also started w/ a blank slate tradewind - although it's a '60 . . . I sat and thought, "gee, my favorite spot in the trailer is at the end - curved walls, curved/domed ceiling (half dome actually), and even though I have two of them, I don't like giving one of them up for the toilet/shower." So I changed it, or am changing it, to a Mid-Bath. The Bath is cramped but for us it'll be fine. And now we have a nice "living space" at each end. Good Luck.
