Are all Bathroom doors the same?

Long story short, we travel with cat and dog. We keep the cat litter box in the bathroom to keep dog from it. Cat can currently scoot under the door to use the box but we'd like to cut an access door for the cat to make it easier.
Our idea is to find a replacement door, cut it for the cat and install it while removing and keeping the original door undamaged so that if the time ever comes to sell, we can re-install the original door.
