70's era TV stands/mounts

We have a tv table/shelf in our '71 that swivels.

We put a standard 13" tv on it when we're camping. It sags quite a bit even though I have replaced the mounting hardware with new and longer screws.

During the day we put a rolled up sleeping bag under the table to support it. At night I just hope it doesn't fall on me

I was wonder what others are doing in reguards to tv mounting on the older units.
