1969 Sovereign Land Yacht Interior Window Trim

Hi all! We are redoing a '69 Sovereign '31 and all of the windows that open have no trim around them. Can anyone tell us how they are suppose to look? Was there trim around them at one point? If so what did it look like? Was it aluminum or plastic? Any ideas on how to redo this?

All the opening windows on a 1969, have a metal frame around the glass, called a "sash".

Perhaps you have an older trailer.

Please post the serial number so that it can be properly ID'd for you.

the serial number is L235FH (it is possible that the ending H is a 4 we are unsure). Thanks!

Where'd that number come from? On a plate by the door? That's not even close to a 69 Sovereign number. Pictures of the Airstream and/ or the plate would really help.

That serial number is not something Airstream has ever used.

How about a photo of the door side and the front?

Serial Number

Sorry Guys! I used what the the previous owner had given me. When I looked this morning I noticed the plate is pretty worn but here is what I think it says: I3119J305. I am unsure of the last three number. How do I post a picture?

Definitely a 1969. The VIN matches and the front wing windows with 3 square corners are unique to that year.

You do have a 69.

But your serial number as stated is incorrect.

The number 1 to the left of the 9 should be a letter, either "T" or "D".

Can you post a photo of what your after?

Airstream Window Picture

Ok then it is a T. Here is the window picture. All of the openable windows are missing trim but all of the fixed window trim is present.

The 1969 models used a crazy type of window.

The hinge is different and the interior trim was never used before that year or since that year.

Unfortunately that trim has not been available for ball park 40 years.

Are you talking about the extrusion that holds the window screen? If so, I think many years will fit, from, say, 1969-1995 or newer.
