1969 Overlander bathroom

I have a gutted 1969 overlander. I am going to relocate the bathroom to a center location over the wheel well on the curb side. I am worried about waste tank locations. I'm trying to determine how to plumb grey and black tanks and waste valve. I know this has been done and am wondering if there are any threads showing tank locations and waste line routing.

I would suggest you purchase a service manual for a later year, starting in 1974 to see what was done and how it was done.

That manual will answer many questions for you.

A little luck does help along with a little skil, and don't forget the 6 pack either.

Your black tank will need to be located under your toilet. Having a run of plumbing from the toilet to the tank invites clogs which will need more than a 6 pack to clear. It's best that the toilet empties directly down into the black tank. Grey and fresh water tanks can be other places, but keep weight distribution in mind as you plan.
Good luck!

Sorry to all the purists, I think I am going to opt for a composition toilet to eliminate a lot of plumbing issues. My plan is to locate a gray tank under the shower pan, route all my gray water to it with a 1 1/2" drain. Natures way says I can vent the toilet out the floor eliminating a toilet vent. Kitchen sink vent will be in the same location, grey tank and lavatory sink will vent out original black tank vent. Does this make sense. Any input will be much appreciated!
