I know of at least 3 of us who have done custom installations of a standard casement air conditioner. Toastie started, then Becky B followed and finally I installed one. Start with post 384 on my restoration thread and you'll find the links to other threads.

With no Awning up, in full sun, we're able to drop the temp 20+ degrees.
