1954 Safari > 13 Panel > Front Kitchen Models
From the known VIN numbers (6001-6135), it appears there were only about 135 of these unique front kitchen models built.
6001-6135 > 1954
6136-6299 > 1955
6300-6433 > 1956
I am compiling a list of ones that are still known to exist. Their unique layout with the front kitchen and bath contribute to some unusual restoration challenges we face. (like dump valves in the front of the trailer, extra tongue weight, adding grey tanks, etc.) It would be a nice resource to have a list of others that are facing (or have already faced) some of the same challenges.
If you would like your vintage front kitchen Safari included on the list, please contact me via PM and I will add your info. I will post a link to the list here for all to share ~

Great idea Shari!
I think you have my serial # already for my 1954 Safari, but in case you don't have it, here it is...O-6059.

Hmmm...does it have a Safari nameplate? That sounds like a unique layout...post some pics, I'd love to see them! Almost sounds like a "Custom"... interesting!
But then again, Safari's are a different breed...some have said, they were made from "leftover" parts which is why there are so many variations.

Hi Shari,
Congratulations on the Safari!
In your post "(like dump valves in the front of the trailer, extra tongue weight, adding grey tanks, etc.)" I think it might be possible to plumb the black outlet to the rear just behind the wheel, this will give you a few gallons of extra storage (in the pipe) as well. You can place the gray tank in the rear and plumb the kitchen and bath drains to it, then plumb the outlet to the same valve as the black. If there is room, I might place the fresh in the middle or just in front of the axle. A little extra tongue weight is not a bad thing.
Best of luck on your new project. Photos please!

Hey Batman ~
Thanks for the congrats & suggestions on our "new project" Safari! This thread was started back when the trailer was new to us...we've since completed the entire restoration which is documented in my "It's a Girl!!!" thread. Lots of pictures and commentary on how we worked through our project...including adding black & grey tanks.
