1949 Globetrotter 22'

It looks like Airstream made a 22' Globetrotter model in 1949.

I couldn't find any reference to this year-model-length in the Vintage Airstream photo archives website. Has anyone else heard of this year-model-length?

Check out this eBay ad and see the attached floorplan.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...ADME:B:SS:US:1

From looking at the floorplan, it looks like Airstream offered a couple of different floorplan options for this model (i.e., twin vs. full bed; front gaucho vs. chairs vs. love seats).

It’s listed as a Liner 22' on the vintageairstream.com site. There is a note in the info at the top of the page which says:
“Sub-Model names such as the GlobeTrotter and Trade Wind of the late '40's Liner series became real model names later in the '50's.”
If you look at the 1948 Liners, there is a floorplan of a Globe Trotter.

Is "Globetrotter" really the "sub-model" name? If the brochure depicted in the first post is an Airstream brochure, then it looks like the "model" name is Globetrotter and not Liner. It's very confusing.

We had the same issue whi.e researching our new addition. All the brochures have different names for the 22' model.
