Interesting rub rail variations. I hope the secrets within your '54 are nicer than the ones we found in my '56.
I'll be sure to post all the skeletons that come out... including the mummified mice! haha!

Auction

[QUOTE=A-Merry-Can;742043]ha! Glad you didn't bid against me! I got the thing for $2600!
Yeah! I would have swooped in at the last 10 seconds of the auction with a 5K bid and watched as you bid up by a few hundred and ran out of time ... instead I was smart ... I paid 5k for a 2k trailer and was glad of it! How about that! Huh?

Let the collecting begin....

... Got these on eBay last week. I've got a couple of shelves cleared out for goodies as I get them. It's like an easter egg hunt!

Next up, a window frame.

The funny thing is, it looks like the correct backing plates are still there. I can't believe someone would screw on a set of school bus tail lights.... whatever... that's part of the fun, huh?

Now, for the window. Apparently a previous owner lovingly bolted it shut... nice!

14 1/4" X 25" (outside dimensions) Hope this one is easy to find! I could fabricate it, worst case... but I'd rather hunt. That's an advantage of queueing up a restoration a few years out. There's nothing worse than bringing a project to a halt waiting for one part to come in.

JP,

I needed two for my Liner and found them on either Ebay or one of the Yahoo Vintage Trailer email lists. The windows were used on many trailers in the 1950's.

Good luck,

Bill
