1950 Silver Streak Clipper - Pipe Frame
I just located and bought an old Silver Streak Clipper. It has a pipe frame on it. I know these aren't Airstreams, but does anyone in the forum have info on these. What is one worth. It needs frame work; I plan on removing the body and redoing the frame. They are asking $500. It is empty inside, but floor and walls are solid as are the end closets. Needs front windows too. Thanks up front.

Silver Streak Clipper Information
You can view the history of Silver Streak @ www.tompatterson.com
Look under trailers on the sidebar, then choose Silver Streak, then choose brochures or specifications......

I have a 53 SS Clipper 25 model with the taller door and sidebathroom. I like the aluminum dinette benches and the aluminum galley as well as the bed base. Check classifeds here.

Wow! I finally got to where I need to be. I am rebuilding a 1953 Clipper by Silver Streak. I want to do whatever is necessary to have a solid unit - electrical, plumbing, furnace, sink, refrigerator, the whole works. I saw a manual on one of these sites, but it was for a 1979 unit. Walls are solid. I need some new windows. I have already removed the beds in rear and will have them redone. I would be grateful for any and all help. Thank you all. John (aka Clipper 0109)

1951 Clipper
I’ve had a 1951 Clipper for the past 10 years and have finally started the restoration. I have a very complete trailer with original stove, refrigerator, furnace and even the awning. The only part that is missing is the dinette; it was replaced and the front cabinet removed. I still have the back one to make a pattern.
My question is - the floor by the door is completely rotted. It seems like there was a step in the floor to go out the door. Can anyone confirm this or was it just a solid floor. It could have been modified from the original owner.
I’ve just started to remove what is left of the floor along with all of the mice bodies. This is not a fun job. I was told if you want to drive highway you should reinforce the floor, if anyone has done this please send some pictures. If anyone has questions regarding the interior I would be glad to try and answer with what I have in mine.

Hi, we've just bought a 1968 Silver Streak Clipper Deluxe located in NV. We are in Australia. We had some fun researching the interior as well. Ours may have been optioned differently for personal purchase, but we have a small double bed and had the sectional dinette benches at the front that moved to create a couch when put end to end. We have the fold down table in the middle which then sits behind the couch.
We found loads of info online, including an original brochure that showed various options for each van.
