Trade value for 2018 TB 19CB

I had my TB in for annual service this month, and was speaking with the dealer (DFW Airstream) and we were discussing moving up to a larger AS. I was shocked at the trade value (Low $40's)...that is approximately 50% value loss in one year. One of the reasons we purchased AS was it's ability to retain value.
I do understand that I could command a higher price if I sold it myself, but geez that's a big hit.
We aren't unhappy with the trailer, so we will keep it...LOL

That trade in value is just what the dealer wants to pay you. You are sure to get much higher value via a private sale.

Trade in Value

Dealership always wants to "Steal the Trade". I have work at several Auto dealerships and they all low ball the trade price.

Sell it yourself. Advertise on RV Trader, Airstream Classifieds, ect.

We just sold our 2017 Int. Serenity 23D that we purchased new in May, 2017. We got just $3k less than we paid for it from Colonial Airstream. Yes, we got a good price when we bought it, but Airstreams do hold there value. Ours was in absolute perfect condition with some nice little upgrades. (Nothing expensive). They bought a well loved trailer and are very happy with the deal.

Whenever you "Trade-in" at dealer you can expect to take a hit.

It can't hurt to call Airstream Adventures Northwest near Seattle ... we drove quite a ways to see them and voted there with our checkbook twice!
Much better deal than anyone else more local!
