Limited edition? How many made?

So, the boss of the house asked me.....”if this is a limited edition, how many were built and which number is ours?”......I stuttered, with a confused look along with an open mouth....and calmly replied...”good question”.......so seriously, it is a good question....if labeled as a limited edition, usually a total number produced is advertised along with a way to know what “number” yours is right?.....any way to tell this?.....we all know the famed pedleton’s were only 100 made....how many Tommy’s?

Ahhhhhh....wait a minute....Tommy’s are classified as a “special edition” not a limited.....maybe that’s the difference.....still would be curious to know though!

I heard from a very trustworthy guy that 100 Tommy Bahama Airstreams will be produced each year. So by the end of 2019, that number should total 300. Once again, not a Limited Edition, a Special Addition (which suggests they’re not numbered as a part of the badging).

I can only speculate that’s 300 27FB TBs & 300 19 CBs.

What was important for me when I bought my Limited was not how many were made but that the Limiteds pretty much had all options included.

I go for stuff like that.
