Thermostat questions

We have a 2019 Globetrotter & are wondering how to turn the thermostat OFF Auto? We used our A/C for the first time (we've only had it a month!) and as I've read on other threads, our A/C would come on to cool down, then furnace would come on to warm up....

Press the mode button. It will cycle through the options. If I know it’s hot out I hit mode button until it says A/C. At night if chilly, I move it to HP.

I don’t use the Auto mode.

@mtpeeps - I think that our thermostats are designed to do this even when it is not set to *auto*. We have had this happen, too.

Get out your manual and check on that. This is especially true if you are in an area where temperatures fluctuate from warm during the day, and much cooler at night. Make sure that your propane is on, so that if it does get cold enough at night/day your unit can switch over to the furnace as designed. The heat pump only works to a certain outside temperature (40 degrees?) and then the unit will switch to the propane furnace.
