Picked up our new GT - got the red carpet treatment!

Back in December we decided to trade our FC23FB and ordered a 27’ GT Twin. On Friday we picked up our new Airstream and got the red carpet treatment - literally!

What a wonderful surprise. Hats off to our salesperson, George and Ewald’s team for making our dream come true! Looking forward to many happy nights in the future.

We also upgraded from our 23FB Intl to a 27 FB Twin Globletrotter. We have about 20 nights camping in ours with few problems.

Hope you enjoy. The extra space in sure nice.

Thanks Dave! Have you missed anything about the 23FB? What have you enjoyed most about your GT?

Congrats on your new GT. We really enjoy ours and you will as well.

And congrats to Ewald's for making a positive impression with you and all those you tell about the experience. The effort taken to treat a customer special reaps such large rewards for the relatively small effort, I don't understand why it isn't done more often. Nevertheless, it certainly speaks well of the organization.

All the best!

Congratulations to you for the coolest AS available, and my admiration to the dealer for respecting you hard earned dollars.
The sad view on my side, you said you decided to trade in December and just got it now, that's over 4 months. We paid deposit for ours 3 weeks ago and they told us we should get end of June, so like 3 months delivery, but your experience tells me that might not be very true....

Gallego, thanks for the kind words. Don’t loose faith just yet. It could be your dealer had a GT already slotted for production and was able to move you into that slot. A “sold” unit trumps a unit ordered for stock. What interior color/trim did you chose?

By the way, when we placed the order in December they gave us a delivery date and the VIN within days. That date only slipped by one week over the whole process. And, it arrived at the dealer within a week of coming off the line.

I’m pulling for you! You’re going to love it.

We love our 2019 GT and have had it since August. But, we lucked out as the person who had ordered it (pretty much exactly as we would have) decided before it arrived to purchase something else. So, when it came in it had been orphaned. We stopped by to see it even though it was "sold" because it had what we wanted and were able to step in and buy it.

You are going to love it!

We ordered a ghost, Globetrotter 23 FB Twin, officially a non existing model but unofficially accepted reality hehehe You might be right since the dealer told me after much pressure that they had one already assigned, and by putting the deposit it was ours... We went with the Barcelona interior, since wife is from Barcelona it couldn't be any other way
thanks for the support! and enjoy your jewel

Jeffmc306 I can't think of anything I miss about the 23. My wife liked the bath mirror.

For me the 27 with the twin beds. Easier to make and feels more roomy. Love the power awning. Just feels better to me.

There will always be some compromises along the way but so far I am happy with my purchase.

That’s awesome! Congratulations !!! We have heard of Ewalds but they are 5 hours away ...or we would be going there for sure for service issues.
Closest to us is the new Lazydays (formerly Shorewood RV) in Ramsey Minnesota . Anyone have any reviews or opinions of this place?
