What is the body length of 23FB ?

I have been searching for a chart or brochure that would show the body length for the various models, but have not been able to find that. Run into a couple of resorts that do not allow RV less than 20 ft body length so for example our Bambi 20FB does not meet requirements. That got me curious as to what the actual body shell lengths are for the different models. I believe that the campsites which limit maximum length refer to the overall length. Thanks

You might find a better audience in the 23FB forum IMO:

http://www.airforums.com/forums/f142...um-166374.html

As another FC20 owner, could you please post links for CG's which prohibit a body length of under 20' ? If they knew your FC20 was an Airstream, I doubt very much if they would enforce this rule.

Have you called them and discussed this?

Thanks for any additional info,

Peter

Thanks, I will try a repost. You are mostly correct, we have management approval with the comment that "this rule was certainly never intended to prohibit an Airstream" you do need to get written approval though because if you arrive and the gate attendant does not know any better they might turn you away. The other rule we discovered at several parks relates to age, one was no older than 10 years and another no older than 20 years, but again if you provide photos they will approve on case by case basis. How strict they are no doubt depends on how full they are. The one I referenced sells out many months in advance. And yes, many discussions with management to clarify as this is 6 days in the middle of our summer trip.

I intentionally did not mention the park name as the folks there are very nice it is a great location and I don't want to disrespect them by opening them up to criticism which occasionally happens on these forums.

PS -- Would you be willing to give up our great galley and bath layouts, to move up to a 23FB? I would spend time in that model in order to answer this question for yourself. "No" would be the answer here FWIW.

OK, called local AS dealer and they measured a 23FB. According to sales guy it is 20'8" overall "shell" length not including the rear bumper and the tongue.

Do not like any of the 23 layouts nearly as much as our 20FB, so if we did go that route, I would want to explore how it might be possible to improve the layout without major rework. At any rate we are looking forward to camping in our current AS for at least a year.

Maybe you should look at a 25' Airstream?

Reworking the interior of a 23' would involve major money IMO.

Compromise, compromise, compromise . . . and avoid Analysis Paralysis.

Good luck . . . over and out.

Now they make an airstream 23 with a twin set up. We have seen one & it is awesome. We purchased a 2018 25 FBT International serenity twin set up . Ours is 25‘11“ from the bumper to the trailer ball. We have two Vizslas and it suits us perfect. Also you’re able to fit in all of the national parks without a problem. It is a big decision. But you can’t make a wrong one all airstreams are awesome.

Wow, heard of age limits, but never body length.
