We like everything about the twin beds except the sleeping arrangement, so we have the queen bed in our 25. Works fine, not perfect but too much is made of it. We spend six to seven months a year in our Airstream.

we have used our twins in very cold and very hot weather. no problem. very cold weather we just used down comforters and as a women of age was almost too warm lol. I love the twins when by myself. I use the other bed for my crafts. b

Hi, we have a Rear Queen. The King and Queen still like each other so we like the Queen bed. The entire area under the bed is for storage even though there is only one storage door. [and inside storage] I'm pushing 70 and we think twins are for kids and/or old fogies. For those who don't know, there is a huge difference between a Rear Queen and a Six Sleeper.

Does anyone here have a 27FB with twins that has outdoor access to under bed storage? If so, could you share some pictures of your side storage doors? Im trying to get a visual on the relationship in size of those storage doors compared with the bedroom window.

Don't know if it's enough of a perspective, but our profile pic is a front 1/4 shot of our 27fb twin looking at the curb side. The street side door is exactly the same. I can get you some other pics later if need be.

On another somewhat related tack. Most people have seen the pull out "side bed" in the 25 FB. Most people who have it and use it have beefed it up with heavy duty full extension drawer slides - kinda like what I have on my truck's bed slide. So why not get twins, and modify the bedside table so that the top section pulls forward and downward to the floor - and one twin then slides over to the other side and joins the stationary one? If I had a partner, I might even have it as a power slide so he wouldn't be aware I was sneaking up on him until...

. Of course then I'd have to wait for old age to creep up on me

or spike his coffee with a little blue pill :

YES! Thank you HeadWest. We do this 5 months at a time and although one of us needs to climb over the other to get in/out, and yes it gets a bit heated in the summer, we wouldn't have it ANY other way.

As far as storage, we have more when we set up as a fullsize bed. Not all of it is easy to reach, but it is still there.

Love our FC FB 27 Twin. 90% of our camping is just the two of us. Sometimes the grandkids.

The actual room and perception of space is great in is model. You can see from the floor all the way to the back uninterrupted. Much has been said about improved locker access and overhead bedroom access.

For those that are accounting for the "Cuddle factor" remember the dining area converts to a good size bed. We leave it in bed format all the time and fill it with tons of decorator pillows. It makes quite an impression and a cozy space to watch TV and spend trailer time together. TV Trays are great for indoor eating but we usually eat outdoors.

If guests are camping or visiting The bedroom also makes a great second conversation area with two "Couches" for TV viewing or conversation. Use the decorator pillow trick here as well to create the perception and comfort of two couches.

FB Twin is our preferred configuration to support our style of camping but how ever you do it JUST GET OUT AND HAVE FUN!

We looked at both queen and twin setups when we bought our new Airstream, and decided without any question we still liked sleeping together. Whatever practical benefits don't matter. But if some day they did, it is an easy conversion to the twin beds in our Airstream.

We are now into our fifth season traveling (over 1,000 nights), and decided we should rethink the issue as its time for a new mattress. Nothing in extensive travel has changed our minds, we prefer the queen bed sleeping arrangement, easy decision. Rather than converting to twin beds, we ordered a new Sleep Number Queen Bed mattress setup for our Airstream because that's how we still like it.

We considered both the queen and twin layouts when we purchased our 25' FC. At home we sleep in a king size bed, and actually *sleep* about 18-20" apart, so a little bit further apart isn't that different. We like having room to stand up and get dressed in the bedroom area, the apparent larger space because of the openness front to back, and the extra outside storage. It's great that there are options for the different preferences.

We sleep on the opposite sides of a king bed at home, so the twin bed option on our 2014 Classic added lots more storage space and stand up room to get dressed. One of us can sit up and read without disturbing the other.

The 23D bed is close and takes us a couple of nights to get over the usual turning we do in the home bed at night. We can adjust to the bed because we love the windows in the 23D that are missing in the 23FB. The lighter Serenity interior makes the unit feel bigger inside.
