Storage for 50amp cord
Upgraded trailer from 25' 30 amp to 28' 50amp. Where does everyone store the cord. If stored in rear, will take up most of the space

That 50 amp cord is a problem no matter where you store...we have 4 outside compartments in our 26U and I use one of those.
When we had our 30' Classic I put the cord in a plastic laundry basket and put it in the back of the truck.

We also have a 26u and I store all electrical in street side rear outside compartment. I have the 50a cord, 2 extension cords, 3 dog bones and our PT50C 50a surge protector (it's pretty big). Have a little room left over.

We have a 50amp 28ft as well and store the cord, dongle, and surge protector in a plastic tote in the rear compartment. We have 4 of theses totes in the rear compartment stacked 2 high.

Hard to beat
Bucket Boss AB30070 Cable Bag
Bucket Boss bags come in several sizes and colors. I use the AB30070 for the 30 amp and dog bones, and a smaller version in a different color for two 50 foot extension cords.
This doesn't take up any more space than it needs (i.e. no gaps in plastic storage bins). Easy to spot in the storage area and only pull what I need.

On our 2016 30' FC RB, I store the 50A cable in the front left (street) side outside storage compartment. I coil it pretty tight, then flatten it, and lift it up and in.

Ditto,
It also take a great deal of weight of the back of the trailer.

Extra Storage Space
I don't know if this will work, but there was somebody on here that stored there water hoses in the Propane cylinder compartment. I don't carry a 50 amp cord so I'm not sure this will work for that, but it might be worth a try.

Off-topic but based on advice I had received when I first joined this forum, I bought a 30A cord because it's so much easier to handle and is perfect for those times that you only need to run one AC instead of two. It's so much easier to handle and coil too. Now to answer your question: I just put it in the "trunk" of our Classic. I do about 5' diameter coils and hoist it into the trunk. It's not elegant but it is simple. I'd also prefer a better solution myself. I might have to consider the laundry basket approach and either throw it in my truck or even just in the front of my trailer ... agree on it being a lot less weight in the caboose-end of the camper and that can't be a bad thing.

Storage for 50amp cord
For anyone, I used to use these Bayco Reels for various things, along with the 30A cable, when I had my SOB Class B:
https://www.amazon.com/Bayco-KW-110-...rds=Bayco+reel
I still have a few I use for hoses and the extension cords in the truck. As I recall, my whole 30A cable wrapped neatly around one.
They are also available in the electrical aisle at Lowes.
