Question on propane heater
This is perhaps an odd question but should the roof unit turn on when you turn on the gas heat?
We have a 27' 2017 FC with two AC units. The one in the back, unit #2, was replaced last fall and we have not used the heat since. In preparation for a winter trip I wanted to check and make sure the propane heater was working so on a chilly morning I went ahead and turned it on. It worked fine but also the #2 roof unit turned on and was, I am guessing, just circulating air. It was not in HP mode but FURN. We used the heat our first winter but that was almost two years ago and I do not recall the roof unit turning on when using the propane heater. Note that it is the #2 unit that is used on the thermostat to access the FURN mode.
Did I just forget that it must have turned on when I used the propane heater before? I always have the fan in "AUTO". The manual talks about the fan turning on or off but I was assuming it meant a fan in the propane heater itself, not the roof unit fan.
Any insight is appreciated. If the roof unit is running unnecessarily then I want to get that sorted. Thanks!
