Ok we DID it! Ya'll didn't frighten us away after all.......we brought home Rosie on Thursday and have been exploring all the corners and buttons. One question - we can see the benefit of the master ""kill switch"" that cuts off all the power......EXCEPT........that it cuts off the refrigerator too......is there any way around this?

Also - I have read and re-read the Contoure microwave/oven manual and am wondering if anyone has actually ""baked"" anything in it? Breakfast biscuits? garlic bread? pot pies? anything? What was the outcome? does it truly bake well?

Just wondering

It will bake virtually anything that you can think of. Just like a regular oven.We have used ours a lot. Also great for rewarming pizza etc.The secret is to read the manual which most have a hard time doing.
There is no way around the store switch. Also remember to leave it on while towing so the tow vehicle will charge the batteries.

Congrats, we got our Rosie in November. Yes we have had to keep the Contoure manual close by but after each trip Jan gets better. Enjoy your Rosie and have fun

I haven't had to deal with this since so far I've either been hooked to power or my solar panels keep the battery topped up (even with the switch set to store) so you need to have it set to "on" (rather than "store") for the car to charge the battery? I haven't dug through the wiring diagram but was thinking since my solar panels charged it on store then my car would, too. Thanks for the info.
