FC 23FB bed question

DW and I have a contract on a Sport 22FB, but are talking to the dealer about changing that to an FC 23FB. DW has a concern.

The bed in the Sport 22FB lifts up to give access to a large storage area.

How much storage is there under the FC 23FB bed and how is it accessed?

Same as yours, but the queen bed is side to side, not front to back. The bed lifts from the foot.

There is a god bit of room. 3 Sq feet is taken up for the inverter and converter. This is at the left side under the head. The remainder of the head storage is for the outside locker.

In the middle is a long storage abour 18-20 inches wide, from side to side, accessed from the right side behind a cabinet door. We used it for dirty clothe's storage.

The remaining 2 ft at the foot is open accessible, with plastic tubs without lifting the platform. Then at the rounded corners at the foot are stash holes to use. We used it for paper towels and rain suits, etc...

23 FB here. Ton of storage under there. Pretty much most of the space under there except for under the pillows which is where the outside compartment is. If I recall, also the inverter is under the bed but doesn't take much space. Whole bed lifts up on Gas shocks.

Don't make the mistake ($) we did. I have a 22FB and love it, but the FC 23FB has so many more advantages. We traded our 22 FB for a FC 23FB. I would have gone all the way to a 25FB but don't want to upgrade our tow vehicle.

Ahhh, be careful Grasshopper........we went from a 36' 5th wheel to a 23FB International and the wife fit everything from the 5th wheel into the 23FB except for the two big lawn chairs we had and a 6' long folding table.

So much stuff will fit under that queen bed that it effects the tongue weight. Really didn't notice it with our 3/4 ton truck, but when we replaced Old Big Blue with a shiny new 2016 Ford F-150 with an Eco Boost the Ford really squatted badly with a WD hitch with 1000# bars. When you fill the fresh water tank the problem became worse.

We now have a new 30" FC and are attempting to spread the weight evenly front to rear.

You do not want the tail waging the dog.
