Battery Box Dimensions in the 2018 Flying Cloud 27FB

I am looking for some assistance from a fellow 2018 Flying Cloud 27FB owner. If anyone out there can provide precise dimensions (width, height, and depth) of the battery box it would be greatly appreciated! Bonus points for anyone willing to go all out and also provide the dimensions of the battery box opening taking the lip/lid into account

We recently purchased our 2018 Flying Cloud and have not taken delivery yet. I know the battery box was enlarged several years back and we are working to determine what size 6v batteries can be accommodated.

Part number 203415. Maybe Airstream can provide dimensions if you call them.

Good luck.

Here are the battery box dimensions on my 27 FBQFC with the solar package and Lifeline Batteries.

There is a lip on the box on the front and back of the box of 7/8” or so to equal an inside dimension of 13.75”. The width is just under 15” and there is no lip.

Thanks for the measurements - exactly what I needed. Do you have a depth measurement as well?

I can tell you for certain that (2) Duracell GC-2 6 volt batteries from Sam’s Club will fit in the box of a 2017 27’ FC.
You’ll have to remove the plastic floor tray.
I chose to remove the Zamp connector from the side of the box. I didn’t want the inner part of those rivets wearing a hole in my batteries.
Best to have a helper to hold wires out of the way while setting the batteries in the box.

Sorry. I left the 10.75” depth out of my last post.

Sorry to thread jack, we are in the same basic straights as the OP. Our trailer is stored on our property many miles away. Looking to come up with a quick and dirty security solution- drilling holes in the side flanges and putting a padlock on each side. It looks as though the side flanges-external- are about 7/8-1”, thanks for the photo, it answers my question about enough flange for a padlock. Cheers!

For anybody that needs it I’ll make a deal on one of the height extension rings, brand new.
