That's very helpful. Appreciate it and more so because we have a Tundra as well. Nice to know it will work.

In our 26U the lounge area tv also has a strap under to pull down which releases the mount behind the tv...then it can be positioned out and at any angle you wish just like in any other Airstream.
Because the TV is recessed into the wall you have to look hard to find the release but it is there and it will come out.
Not sure why your "Tech" does not know this???

A request, at your convenience - Could a 26U owner post the distance center-to-center between the dinette table floor mounts, as well as the dimensions of the two table tops that form the dinette table. We have an Eddie Bauer and are looking to possibly adopt some of the design features of the 26U table. Greatly appreciated! Joe

The above is correct...TV angles in all directions....even to the outside.

Here you go...
Centre to centre between posts.....18" 3/4"
Table tops.....36" 3/8" x 19" 3/8" and 36" 3/8" x 19" 1/8"

Blue Ox has a 1000 lb and a 1500lb models. I have ready that if you go over size the ride can be rough. But at 903 tongue worry that the 1000 lb Sway Pro will be inadequate. Any advice appreciated.

AS's tongue weight does not include the weight of propane nor the weight of hitch and sway bars, they need to be included too. So, AS tongue weights, and I have had three AS, are always under real world numbers. Plus, that front storage in the 26U AS and if you ever plan to upgrade the capacity of your batteries, which I did. I doubt there are many 26U out there that don't hit the 1,100 pound mark easily. My 26U fully ready to go on my summer trip tongue weight on accurate CAT scales came in a little over 1,200 pounds. Thus I also use a 3/4 ton to pull though. Error on more bar weight than needed, couple hundred pounds over not a bad idea. Going less and you add unneeded stress to your class V hitch and your handling will be compromised too. But, it is possible to get far too heavy duty bars too, but this is typically not the issue at a dealership that knows what they are doing. But, going below rated bars is far more problematic. Safe travels and congrats on the 26U. It is awesome and if you plan on extended trips, the storage options and capacity, for an Airstream, is awesome compared to the 25 footer, which I have owned too.

I purchased the blue ox, went with 1000 lb bars, seems to work well. the real weight was around 1000 lbs when I went to Cat scales

Well after much angst I decided on a Reese Steadi Flex Weight Distribution System w/ Sway Control - Trunnion
Tongue weight: 600 lbs - 1,200 lbs
Gross towing weight: 12,000 lbs
A little lighter. No chains.
https://www.reese-hitches.com/produc..._200_lbs,66560
Hope I made the right decision.

We're in month 3 using our new 26U and love it! Moved up from a 20' - what a difference in comfort and lifestyle. Plan to post some improvements I've made to mine in the next few day if you are interested.

Cushion and Bed comfort.
Had our 26U over a year. First: The Bed's seem to have soft wall at center of trailer on twin's. Keep wanting to roll to center. Going to chk platform for level. Might have to make new mattress.
Second: The front cushions have an area where we sink in,as you lounge straight out facing TV. This is going to require a new layout of cushions. The one across the front will be shorter. The side will be longer and shaped like the Twin bed mattress. Will have easier access to storage area under cushion.
Have others had similiar ideas or made changes?
Thank's.
The 2018 will probably have the changes.

I can tell you my wife and I are experiencing the same thing especially in the dinette area. So far we've lived with it and survived.

The bed and cushion issues are not related to just the 26U. Several have posted on cushions and beds in various models and years. My issue in an '06 was the sofa and the beds. Some posters complained that sofas were uncomfortable but I have found that it isn't all sofas but rather the sofas used prior to the Villa Internationals. My OEM was a Flex steel. The replacement I ordered was the same as the Classic circa 2014 style and it is comfortable. I did raise the height a bit. I ordered one HD mattress custom and made the other one myself. They are comfortable now. The one I made is natural latex, coir and gel foam. Consider it a quest for comfort as you explore upgrade options.

Twin comfort
Looking at the twins further i found the wooden platform is probably 3 " short in width . No support in aisle area for mattress. Will start by making wider platforms for twin beds. Then maybe topper.

I will tell you our 2014 25' Twin bed mattress's were very soft. I would bottom out every night and so would wife. We considered topper foam, but never got to it. In the new 2017 Twin in our 28', it is a new mattress with memory foam. Really nice and comfortable. We both notice big difference with the new mattress. I assume they now offer same in all twin models...

Making platforms wider seem's to help a lot. Will really test nxt time camping.
Have made appt at JC for:
Brake Light, Bottom left not working.
Left rear speaker not working over twin bed.
Entrance Door Leaks .Hinge side.
Awning difficult to retract .Sometimes.
Maybe brake light and speaker wires are crossed?

Funny but we haven't noticed any problems with cushions or twins...we have had other airstreams and really like and enjoy the U dinette for relaxing and the twins are way more comfortable than any queen we have had previously.
Do a quick search...there is a lot of discussion on the twins mattress hanging over and sloping to center plus several fixes people have done. For us they have not been a problem but others have noted same thing as you.
