That's my one big concern with the 26U (RB). I missed the old fashioned foot pedal that simply rotated a plastic ball and everything fell into the black tank. Poof!
I looked at the plumbing diagram and discovered the 26U has SIX 90 degree elbows between the toilet and the black tank. At one point it goes UP and over the wheel well!
Needless to say I'm very careful about how I use the toilet.

Hi All. We just brought our 26U home and are getting ready for our first trip. We love the lay out. We think that the bed orientation and removable table top is perfect for the two of us. Once I can figure out how to add photos I will do so here.

Welcome from another 26U owner. Try this...

To add pictures to a post:

1. Click on the "Post Reply" button...

2. Scroll down on the post composing page to "Manage Attachements"...click on that...

3. You'll get a separate window where you can browse your hard drive for pictures and then upload them...you can upload 10 total to a single post in these batches: 4 + 4 + 2...

4. When you've located the pics and uploaded them, close that window and proceed with your post...when you post it, you photo will appear in the post...

(Note that there are some size limitations to pics...)

Good luck!

Maybe you can teach us the art of putting the tables together, at an RV show my wife & I tried to figure it out and I was too easily defeated.

We feel the 26RBT would be the smallest coach we'd want to fulltime in, fit into many of the older national park campgrounds, and yet roomy enough to both run our laptops at night & for my e-business stuff. I am hoping our F-150 with 1847# of truck cargo & 10,100# of towing will handle it until we finally decide on a 3/4 ton. Will love to see your photos. Congratulations.

Our 23D was written off (hail damage). It was perfect for us, but now that we are full-timing, we are looking for something bigger. We know what we like about our current trailer, and also what we don't like. In my heart, I know a 30-footer will provide the most comfort and storage. However, that's a big beast. We both like the 26 twin, but there doesn't seem to be enough interior storage in the living area. Is there any storage under the dinette other than the shoe box near the door and the front exterior compartment?

Is anyone in the thread full-timing in one?

Paul....I have a 26U twin. Many things I like about it as posted here in this thread. Large, all in one bathroom. Comfortable lounge and TV viewing. Extra ouside storage. However, very limited storage under the lounge area. Storage in overheads and over sink plus pull out pantry and one cupboard above it. Bit of room under sink. Some utensil drawers.

That being said, I don't think I could full time in it. My preference would be for a layout with 2 seating areas....such as the 28 footer. Or something in the 30' range. Need a space for my wife to do her thing and a space for me to hang out in. But then I'd loose all the things I like about the 26U.

Under the dinette is the gas furnace, and the inverter on the street side. The outside storage takes up the front, and on the curb side there's a small storage space behind the shoe cubby.
There's much more usable storage in the twin version over the queen.
I still think it's got more plusses than minuses.

Thanks LilBigfoot and Mollysdad. The 26U is pretty elusive. Very few dealers have them in stock, so it's hard to determine if we could full-time in one. There are so many pluses. We know we don't want another dinette and long sofa that we have now, so the 27FB is out. It'll have to be the 26, 28, or 30. Decisions, decisions.

Exactly why I picked the 26. I don't like dinettes, I don't fit. The sofa made TV watching odd. So the U shaped seating was a stroke of genius! I still have never used the entire table, half stays stored.
I travel solo and I don't see how I could full time. I'd have to downsize a lot. I have the queen which I like except the overhead cabinets are almost impossible to reach (except kneeling on the bed) If I had to buy again (in that price range) I'd probably still get the queen, but take a long look at the twin, just for the four outside storage bins and the accessible overhead.

With the twins, it's great to be able to put your feet down in the aisle between the beds and put your pants on. Stand up and there are the overhead cabinets.

There is so much more storage in the bedroom than we currently have in the 23D. This is such a great model. I wonder why so few dealers stock them.

Just got back from 3 month trip.(Calc miles later). Spent a month in Texas,Louisiana and Florida. Trailer was Great !! Only thing that came up was a squeak ? in floor in front of the 4 drawer cabinet. Love the layout and space.

Bath door mod.

First, the Bath Door should swing 180deg. Got two small round magnets at HD.
Put one on door handle and other on wall so they mate up.Now we can swing door open and it stay against wall. Easy ,simple, and keeps Hall pathway open!

We leave half the table stored as well. Initially thought we'd convert the front to a large lounge (bed mode essentially) to lie comfortably with the dogs, however I still do not trust the pitiful supports for the table sections. One day I'll beef up those supports, but for now the single-table mode works sufficiently enough. All in all, not counting the Classic 30 (which is too big and too $$$) the 26U works best for us. Do love the extra outside storage with the twin.

Table

We also only use the larger half. Have thought of making a table a size between the single and two together. Would use both post for the new table. Leave two parts at home. Take table top storage area and use it for wine rack or shoe pockets or ???

My wife calls that squeak her “early warning system.” Lets her know that her Cookie Monster is up, and is about to pack down some more thin mints.[emoji41]
