2016 Flying Cloud 25 - Crooked Toilet

We took delivery of our new trailer a couple weeks ago. One of the things we noticed during initial trips is that the toilet is unnecessarily angled toward the hall door. Is anyone else's like this? There just seems like there is no reason for it.

I have the full bathroom, not the lavi like on the 25FB.

All 25fbs are angled to the door. I'm only 5'10" and my knee hits the door on mine. I've considered taking the bathroom door down and use the accordion dividers for privacy. Maybe you can post a photo for us.

Now if you have the 25RB that could be a problem since the bathroom is considerably larger.

Knee-Kocker Door Solution

In the Summer 2009 Airstream Life, Byron Shugart had a photo on page 7 where he shows how he added a 72" x 17" wide sheet of matching plywood with matching veneer to the bathroom door using a piano hinge. "You simply open the stock door fully against the bed, then swing the new panel towards you and to the left to meet the existing left wall."

We plan on adding this to our 19' 2015 Flying Cloud along with the Nature's Head composting toilet.

I have the same model a 25 RB, our toilet has a very slight angle, nothing like the above poster that said his knees hit the door. Being so slight without close scrutiny mine would not be noticeable.

The 25' Rear Bed shares the exact bathroom design with the 30' models, largest of any Airstream except perhaps the Classic which may be equal. The toilet should be straight ahead, there is plenty of room for it, or it is not properly installed.

We improved our 25 RB bath by flipping the door upside down so it opens to the bedroom, and added a larger mirror in addition to the adjustable mirror.

Seems like a warranty repair issue so inside that 2 year window you should have it fixed, if for no other reason than future resale value.

I'm not familiar with the newer units, but on mine, the toilet flange has xtra holes for the toilet mounting bolts. If yours is the same, your dealer should be able to pull the toilet up, and move the mounting bolts to another set of holes to rotate the toilets position.
