Peter....$49K seems low to me but, what do I know? I see others, including 19 footers in the same vintage for higher dollar amounts.

What are your plans after selling?

FWIW a local (Austin Texas) nice looking 2013 20FC just sold on eBay for $42,500. While that seems low to me, (especially since a 2007 19' Bambi went for $40,000 in March), that's what it sold for.

Peter....you are on my mind and good thoughts are coming your way for improved health. Do everything you can to keep yourself on the mend and in good shape. You have lot's of friends here if you need anything.

If you do sell your Airstream, it will go fast. As you know, our models are one of the most popular floor plans. Don't under price yourself.

Have you seen this? https://www.airstreamclassifieds.com...-oregon-361884

Not that they will get that much, but that's what they are asking. January 2020, I stopped in to the Airstream dealer in Las Vegas to look around. They had a brand new International Serenity 23 on the lot with a price tag of $69k. The thought crossed my mind of driving back to the Lake Mead campground where my 20-footer was parked, hauling it over and trading it in on the spot. I realized it was too much hassle to do that in the middle of a cross country trip, but crazy to think one year later and the asking price of a 5 year old 20 footer is only $4k less than that brand new 23.

Yup, saw that too.

Food for thought!

Still thinking of selling after getting the water on.

WinterOpError correction -- Moen faucet

It turns out that there was some water left in the kitchen faucet last fall, which damaged the Moen faucet cartridge over the winter. Happily, Moen sent a free one, and everything appears to be OK. That's the short version of "old carpenter repairs broken faucet due to operator error while winterizing!"

The following thread was very helpful in getting pointed in the right direction:

https://www.airforums.com/forums/f44...ge-177725.html

Now . . . check all systems and go for a short camping trip!

PS -- Health issues stable for now it appears. Thanks again for everyone's concern.

Glad that was an easy fix…. But more importantly, glad things are stable…. Get out and enjoy!

Opening the Rear Window

As we inspected our then new 2015 20 footer at the dealer, I was convinced the rear window (over the sink) was installed incorrectly because there was no way to leave it latched open (like all the other windows). Here's my solution that I gladly share. I riveted a flat bar of aluminum that spans the two latch catches. Then I riveted a shorter piece of aluminum in the middle of that flat bar (spaced away from the original flat bar by 1/8". Lastly, I screwed a hinge onto another piece of flat stock. The hinge inserts into the 1/8" gap and the other end rests inside the window frame. Add some duct tape to that end to prevent any scratching.

Corner Shelf

Seems like a waste of space with nothing between the cabinet over the stove and the cabinet over the sink. I installed a "corner" shelf in that gap. Hardest part was figuring out the arc. Tried all sorts of fanciness, but ended up with trial and error, starting with cardboard and tracing it onto hardboard. After many modifications to the hardboard, I was able to trace it onto a nice piece of plywood. On the left side, the shelf mounts to the underside of the over stove cabinet. On the right side, it mounts flush with the over sink cabinet (photo is looking at the inside of the over sink cabinet). I used threaded inserts and machine screws, rather than wood screws. We never travel with anything on the shelf, but it's nice extra storage when at destination. As an unexpected bonus, we were able to mount a paper towel holder on the underside, freeing up additional counter space.

Nice Modification May be the perfect place for the coffee pot to ride with an additional hinged door or a nice place to keep bread or cereal.

That's where we stuck the paper towel holder. I like your solution better!

Here you can see the raised floor in the bath. Completely reversable if the new owners don't want it...

Put on the magnetic catches and placed a dot on the doors to remind us where it is...
