Darrell,i assume you removed the oem latch? This was my solution but my wife hates it. It was on my garden bench looking for a home. I use it in the hooked position. Fingers are hard to work the spring latch for the lock position. Thinking of other options. Can you post a pic. Push button lock makes me think of a entry lock??

FWIW, i just noticed that the racks just hand on a little hook of the slider. Opened the door to see the far end of the top rack hanging loose. Couple of small zip ties now keeps it place. Need to do the bottom too.

I used the rev-a-lock on the pot/pan drawer and all is groovey. I have gone the bungee route on the refer tho. What ever works.

A note for the record from the chief bungee advocate. KISS -- they still work great!

Have a good weekend.

A disclaimer first -- I don't mind exposed hardware if the finish and design are good. Form follows function . . .

So the exposed stainless strap eyes may not appeal to some folks, but on their own they are preferable to exposed bases for white Velcro, and coachman's loops (if I understood that post correctly). The top eye near the sinks is also actually good for the corner of a thin hand/dish towel. Different strokes for different folks . . .
. . .

Can anyone check if their rear dinette bench has an angle bracket attaching the back to the streetside inner skin?

Mine does not (the front bench does)

Rear:

Thanks to anyone who can help - a picture would be amazing as well!

Yes we have a mirror image of the angle bracket on the front bench seat.

Bob are you still going to Maine?

We are going to try to squeeze into Hither Hills on Tuesday off the wait list. Iffy forecast for next week . . . hopefully some folks will bail out, plus schools start next week. HHSP is super crowded this time of year but a 2-3 day stay is often do-able midweek. TBD.

No outlet power when plugged into 30AMP

Love the chain!
I bought a 19' my first year on the road, because I couldn't find a 20' that I really wanted. YES, it is the kitchen, double sink, lots of counter space, great shower and just love this floor plan. I found a used 2014 the following year and this is my 3rd year in Ms. Scout.

I am having a very strange problem. When plugged into 30 AMP, my outlets don't work. I have lights but no outlets or microwave. Any ideas?

Did you check the 120-volt circuit breakers, some of which may also require a GFI reset [on the breaker, or on one of the outlets]?

Do your fridge and water heater work on shore power? [propane off]

Your interior lights do not work off the 120-volt shore power. They are supplied with 12-volt direct current from the batteries. You might want to review your owner's manual about all the electric IMO.

I love my 2014, 20' Flying Cloud. Does anyone else have the problem of excessive shake rattle and roll? WOW! When I open the door after 2 hours on the road, everything has shifted and shaked. I keep my tire pressure at 80 PSI. But stuff just flyes everywhere!

Especially, the drawers opening even when I have used a bungee cord to lock them in place.

Assuming you have Goodyear Endurance E rated tires, stock size, even at the trailers GVWR of 5000 lbs. you can run 75 psi and still have the 10% safety margin that the forum tire experts recommend. Our trailer's axle weighs in at 4600 lbs. with a full tank of water. At 4600 lbs. I could go down to 65 psi. if I wanted to, but I run 70-72 psi and it doesn't seem to abuse the trailer.

Umm, I think perhaps your tire pressure is the culprit. At 80 psi, your tires are essentially the same as those on Fred Flinstone’s car — rock solid.

You may want to weigh your trailer and then consult the inflation guide published by the tire manufacturer for your tires.

I have Goodyear Endurance. Max pressure (for max load) is 80 psi. For my trailer’s weight, the appropriate pressure is 65 psi, which is what I run. I don’t have any symptoms of harsh ride...

Same here almost. I'm a few lbs more give or take...with the 2 bikes usually, but half tank water. Full tank prop plus a partial since it lasts forever. I target 75 but don't top off if it reads 72. Somethings me across a hot desert i keep it closer to but less than 80.

Hardly ever have to add air..holds psi firm. Just passed 35k miles since new 2/2018

Do any of you put your 20FC up on jacks for winter storage, to take the weight off the tires? I put new GYE's on this summer and the only got to camp one time because of a sick parent. The Airstream has been sitting in the same spot for several months.

Sorry to hear about your parent. Been there . . . no fun.

We just move the trailer 2-3' every month or two. Not sure about tires "going flat" but moving once in a while can't hurt. IMO modern radial tires are made of a better compound than in the old days of bias-belted tires. Even a short trip to nowhere of 5-10 miles exercises the tires, and is better than sitting still.

Just a lay opinion -- FWIW.

Good luck, Steve.

Peter

PS -- Our van tow vehicle is supposed to be back from the body shop any day now, after a reckless driver ran a stop sign, and clipped the back of the van ~6 weeks ago. Planning on going to dump the tanks at a local CG, for a R/T of about 15 miles.

Good idea Peter! We are already getting substantial snow here, so, hooking it up and taking a short trip around the neighborhood probably won't work but I can move it up and down the driveway with my trailer mover when some of the snow melts off. Thanks for the idea!
