19-Footers

We are new to AS having just purchased our 19 FC. So far we love it but have already made a few modifications to the livability. I've conversed with a few members privately with 19foot flyin'clouds and thought I'd give a shout out to any others here that might have (and love !) the 19 FC. This forum is so hard to search I thought we could have a thread where we could discuss modifications, decorating , etc. pertaining just to 19FCs. I see the 20 footers have an ongoing thread why not us. I will post my mods. As soon as I can figure out how to post pictures.

Welcome to the forum and good luck with this new 19-footer thread! As you mentioned the 20-footer thread has been active and helpful, even if some posters there tend toward long-winded-ness . . .

You might want to read Post No. 9 in the following thread about searching here. The basic Search function can be bypassed easily.

Happy Trails!

Peter

PS have you checked the FAQ about posting photos? Also there is a thread in the Forum discussion area about this:

Lastly you could start a new topic in the the above sub-forum, or contact the admins and mods via the Contact Us button below.

We have owned our FC19 for a month. Only mods have been adding replacement stainless steel accessory doors.

19FC modification

Now that we been in the JUNE BUG for a month I've made some modes I like to share.

1. Found a matching towel ring at lowes and put it near the bathroom
Sink side.

Sorry about his. I guess I will have to do each separately.

2. My second thing was I removed the bathroom door and replaced with a shower curtain, shower rod I had to cut down and nice curtain hangers with chrome buttons. Wife says I matched our bed spread perfectly. I found all this one day at Ace Hardware all for less than $40.

19FC -modifications

Trying this again, these are the mods I did in the bedroom area. We both like to read before bed so I found these wire file baskets that they put on office doors. I attached them to both the alum and wood side with 3m command strips and hooks.

19FC -modification

I did this in the kitchen for wife. I took all the little hooks out over the sink area and put a paper towel holder in its place. We are not hook people. I found the towel holder for $7 at Wally world.

Viggen, my wife started by putting the roll down in the drawer below the dinette seat but found that very cumbersome. So I took the key hooks out of the cabinet above the sink and replaced them with a nice stainless steel holder I found at Walmart . We have been out now 12 weeks and she loves it. A friend of ours has a 19 and they have a table top holder and she just moves it from place to place.
