SuperSprings

Pull 2018 Classic 33 with 2015 Chevy HD 2500 Duramax, Equalizer hitch, 1400 lb WD bars. Also have a Leer cap on truck bed. Airstream pulls fine, little sway. I was wondering if installation of SuperSprings would be a safe addition. Anyone have input for me?

Ron..
I don't see the connection between helper springs on the 2500Dmax and sway.
Sway starts at the trailer not the TV.👍

Ck for proper tw and weight distribution, make sure the AS is level.🤓

I have a similar setup. 2017 F250 gas with cap and 30' trailer. I am able to level fairly well with my Equalizer but have thought about adding Timbren springs, which are similar to summo. Haven't pulled the trigger yet. Also interested in hearing thoughts.

Sounds like too much weight on back of trailer
Does your airstream sit level when hooked to truck or is hitch too high?

SuperSprings

James, had PrpPride on my FC28. Had to switch to Equalizer cuz PP will not work on the Classic 33.

SuperSprings

All, not concerned with sway. And rig/tv fairly level. Just concerned about safety. Tongue weight already 1,200 lbs. before cap put on. Seems like the SuperSpring idea is not bad.

Why? Equalizer WD mitigates my sway.

Not installing SuperSprings to minimize sway, but to help relieve stress from my tongue.

This video was posted a while back about how airbags used for leveling and WD hitches move weight between axles. Just reposting it as it may help with your comment that you want"to help relieve stress from my tongue".

Ron,
Helper, (stiffer) springs will not relieve stress, stiffer springs with the same weight, would increase shock 'stress'.
It may seem counterintuitive but a heavier TW with the same springs & proper WD would ride smoother with less percieved stress.
Helper springs, add-on airbags do not increase payload , level trailer with proper WD is the best way to move weight.🤓

Pray tell . . .? Not fit?

"pulls fine, little sway." was your summary. Little meant, little to no, or a little but tolerable, or little like none?

My mistake, reading your initial post I thought you meant there is a little bit of sway and you are not concerned about that.

The Classic 33 only has one outside storage, a top pull-down door at front. The towers on the ProPride block that door from opening thus we would lose access to storage.

Have you seen the new ratchet straps that can replace the towers?

The ratchet straps work, but the basic issue is that the jacks will lift and tension the WD bars AND also push them down when you need to adjust the angle of the head. The straps cannot do that. You have to push the bars down with your foot instead, after slacking the strap.

Sean still sells them as an alternative to the jacks on the website. Look for his Lippert 335852 Straptek Weight Tension Technology Kit on the Propride website
