Shower Fan: new problem

Was working. Now it’s not. Checked fuses and nothing is flipped. Since this is a manual on/off and seemingly not connected to anything, is it possible it just has a little fuse on the motor I need to check?

Any thoughts on trouble shooting? Have an appointment at airstream mothership on the 19th, will have them look at it ultimately but would love to have a vent fan going for my hot and steamy showers.

No fuse on motor. Maybe a bad switch. The little red clicker switch may not be making contact. If you have a way checking the voltage pre and post switch would be my starting point. If you have 12 volts before and 12 volts after the switch the only thing left is a bad motor.

Probably the switch

Probably the switch, I had the same problem and I just got to the switch and sprayed some silicone lubricant into the switch and cleaned it out and the fan has been working fine ever since. Just be sure you disconnect the power first.

We have a 2016 Flying Cloud 26RBQ. Our bathroom fan did the same malfunction thing. We ultimately replaced it as I tried everything and could not get it to work. We ultimately replaced the whole fan. It was not really expensive and I had tried everything.

I’d also say it’s the switch. I had one go bad a few years back

Had my bath fan go out on my 2012 EB. It was the motor, not the switch. Somewhat not unexpected as AS does not use a sealed motor and the constant exposure to steam is less than healthy for spinning electrical components.

Have you tried to start it spinning? Use a pen and just give it a flick. If it starts then it is the motor. Easy repair. Replacement motor available on Amazon.
