In my installation I put in the cabinet with the three drawers, but the bottom drawer does not exist, just the front. The opening which goes up to the bottom of the second drawer is all there for the wiring and the sub woofer.

Yes, there is plenty of width since we purchased the narrow chairs. They are nice but not as useful as I once imagined.

Just finished our first week using the Lambert Chairs since I made the conversion. Well worth the effort and the price. Actually more comfortable than the expensive home recliners we have in our home.

I have a 2018 Classic 33 FB and interested in replacing the jackknife sofa with something more comfortable and the capability to recline and still clear the cabinetry. Does anyone know of something similar to this setup on a 33? I’d go for either individual reclining chairs like this or a theater style wall-hugger recliner.
Thanks,
Russ

Russ my installation is done with Lambert Wall Huggers. If we keep the chairs straight we can recline all the way to a horizontal position and then swivel a bit, I pushed them way back when installing so there is not much side to movement due to the cabinet I put in as well as the side walls of the trailer. The other professional install looks to be about the same limitations. But ours are significantly more comfortable than the incliner sofa, which after a number of days out became very uncomfortable.
We live just south of you and you are welcome to come take a look at ours. It will be here in Upper St Clair in a storage lot until early to mid September and then gone until May.

We would love to replace our sofa with recliners. We were quoted a price of $8K by a company on the west coast (including the recliners). We decided to pass, but is it possible we could get it done cheaper? Anybody know a place or person who can do the job on the west coast??
Thanks.

Replaced sofa w recliners
Buy comfy ‘zero clearance’ recliners of your choice from a furniture store or warehouse club to fit the area. Tie the legs down with clips of some sort. (Look in the electrical aisle at favorite big box home improvement store. ) Done.
You will only be sitting in them when parked. The clips will keep them from moving while under way.

Your unit does not have the Alde system which covering was the difficult and time consuming aspect of our switch. The conversion from the couch to the chairs was pretty straightforward. We opted for Lambert Recliners as they are built for RVs, they are narrow, they are zero clearance in the back so we can put them horizontal if we want and they are very comfortable - but expensive. Ours ran about $2,000.00. And as rmkm suggested simply tie them down with the electrical straps.
That said if you don't want to do the job I'd suggest Vinnies Airstream in Sacramento CA. He is on Facebook and has a website. I've seen his work in pictures and I've seen one repair he did in person, exceptional.

I'm going to do something similar to yours & I like what you have done ,,looks great---a couple of questions did the floor need "patching" where you removed the sofa/ and with the different fabric cover instead of the metal for the Alde do you think your heating will be reduced

Floor/heat response
Flooring was minimally affected. Just six or so small holes where the sofa was bolted down. At first I thought I’d have to deal with this but realized that the chairs covered up the issue. Therefore, I just used a small screwdriver and stuffed the holes with steel wool. Practically unnoticeable w the chairs removed and totally hidden when they are in place.
As for heat, this has not been tested yet. The fins for Alde were just exposed under the sofa so heat radiated there in a big expanse more or less. Now, on a cold night we might need to expose those fins again for best result. Easily done as all top panels just sit there.

I’ll echo Laurie. Floor goes right up to the front end. Did not worry about holes, I dropped a drill and cut out a piece of floor, cut some from under the dinette and patched. Then asked my wife to find the patch, she could not, great flooring

I agree with your concern of$8K; we are also looking at options. I do like the Airstream Adventures Custom shop options in their catalog under Living Room modifications showing replacing the L-couch with 2 recliners, along with the microwave/drawer option next to the recliners. I just don't want the ottomans and seems expensive...
file:///C:/Users/jerry/OneDrive/Desk...atalog%201.pdf
I do like the Lambright Laxor "0" clearance recliners and also the couch options on their website below; pricing is pretty good also...just need to find out what is involved with the work of removing and replacing existing couch...;

Would like to see a few more pictures from folks here that have had this done. Anyone in Texas doing this or perhaps Carolina (Thinking Alumalina trip coming up.)

Here is mine, again. Chairs are zero full recliners that swivel although ours not much as the cabinet interferes and I wanted it to cover all wiring and solar controller. Chairs are Lambert’s and our cost with freight $2,000 for both. I did all work myself total cost $2,300.00. I’ve seen better jobs but my wife is happy so we are good.

Two low cost small lay-z-boy recliners in 2015 FC 30. New cabinet for storage and new cabinet in middle for DC wiring and the inverter (inverter was under the sofa)
Made a frame for under the recliner with carpet glued to the bottom of the frame. Recliners do not move around while towing but can be easily moved a bit away from the wall for reclining.

Also, since chairs are in front, there is no need to anchor in any way. They do not move while going down road. I do wedge something between them and the cabinet table to control sway a bit to protect from any rubbing.
I like the version with a smaller covering for wires etc and then the small removable table for between chairs. That to me would be enough — and cheaper I imagine. In actuality, the heating system doesn’t need to be covered at all. ( dust tho... ) Only those who know it’s there see it.
