New Owner - 2017 Classic
I wanted to introduce myself as a new owner of a 2017 Classic 30, twin with solar! I have been lurking around the forum for some time as well made several visits to shows and dealers and put a deposit today with delivery sometime in December. I have owned trailers as well as class A and C RV's and going back to a trailer life for a variety of reasons. Originally we were looking for something a bit smaller but my wife fell in love with the classic!

Hi and welcome to Airstreaming. The Classic is easy to fall in love with. It's going to be a long wait until delivery. Be patient.
We have a 86 Classic that has well over 200,000 miles on it. It has been in the family since new. It is called a Limited and I believe that was the trim level that came with solid hickory cabinets. They have held up well through the years.
We enjoy trailering instead of a motorhome or fifth wheel. I guess I like the extra effort required to tow, back up, adjust the hitch and the like. It takes a little while to get used to it. I'll bet you already have the experience.
Get ready for Airstream adventures and the sense of community that Airstream ownership offers.

Welcome!
Hello and welcome from a fellow Virginian! This is a very good and helpful forum, nice bunch of streamers. We have had our 2016 Classic for just about 14 months now. Just put it in storage yesterday for about 6 months. Once you have "lived riveted," nothing else seems quite right?

Welcome. We picked up our 2017 Classic Twin about three weeks ago. This is our forth AS, she is different but so far a terrific product.
We plan on using her in Florida for a little over three months this coming winter.
Enjoy
Bud

It's a great trailer. The Alde system, just can't say enough good things so far, works like a champ. So far we're very happy with ours! Good luck!

WhooHoo! What a wonderful time of the year to take delivery. You must post a couple of pictures of it when you can.

Congratulations. We will be getting one of these soon ourselves as we transition from part timing on extended weekends in our 22 FB to full timing in a 30' Classic.

Congratulations - very nice looking unit. We love our 2007 27FB Classic but I really like the looks of your new unit and the spacious floor plan. Lots of other cool modernization in the Classic over the past 10 years. Safe travels and hope to see you on the road.
Regards - Ron

Wow, that Classic is beautiful. So luxurious. I bet that leather is glove soft. And I love the cabinetry. That's what makes a Classic a Classic. Enjoy, you earned it.

Beautiful trailer! I considering replacing my coach with the new coach with recliners. Can you tell me where your batteries and inverter are located. Will need to relocated for the new coach to fit. Thanks for the help....

Sierradawg:
Actually not sure of your question, but that said in the 2017 Classic, the inverter is under the kitchen counter, there is a large drawer which if one takes it out the inverter is in there. The batteries are up front in the batter box located in the A frame.
