How's your Infinity Luxury Woven flooring doing?
Newer AS Classic Owners, how's your Luxury Woven flooring doing?
Love to get your opinion on the woven flooring in your Classic.
How's it holding up? Is it easy to clean? How about comfort underfoot? Are there any abrasion areas? How's it working in the lavatory?
If you could change to a different type of floor covering, which one would be your first choice?
Just asking. Inquiring minds will love to know. Thanks!

Ours is like new after 1 year and 5K miles of travel. No visible wear or stains. Wet spills stay on the surface for a while making it fairly easy to wipe up before they soak in. We added a fluffy throw rug in the kitchen area to provide more cushioning and to catch food dropings, and a small one in the bathroom too. We also use one outside the shower and then hang it up to dry when it gets wet. Even though the flooring by itself is wonderful IMHO, the small rugs we added enhance our decor, add padding and insulate, can be shaken/dried outside and laundered.

Has anyone considered covering or replacing it with a laminate wood or wood look vinyl product? My wife is really wanting to do this.

I can't understand why you would replace this great flooring. All the positive comments above I echo heartily. We have a '16 Classic we purchased in April. Have spent 7 weeks in it and love the flooring. We use runner rugs for kitchen/dinette area mainly for decor purposes and a small bath mat in toilet. Flooring is warmer on bare feet than either laminate or vinyl.

Ours is still like brand new. No signs of wear anywhere and we've had plenty of spills including a disaster where the refrigerator came open underway spilling everything out on the floor.
So we like it, but there is one caveat. It does not sweep up like the smooth floor we had before. We got a small vacuum that's amazing. Picks up little bits of food, sand and anything else in 2 - 3 minutes to go over the whole floor. We do that daily, then wipe with a damp cloth about once a week.

We love our woven floor. Still looks new. Easy to clean. Not cold to step on. We also added a runner and rug out the shower for decor only.

Its a very tough vinyl floor covering that (to me) resembles a finely woven, reed mat. Here's a link with pictures: http://infinitylwv.com/view-by-color/

Maybe we got a bad batch of flooring, but in a year and a half and about 11000 miles it has never come clean, despite all attempts including professional steam cleaning. It turns the bottom of our socks brown and has since the day we got it.
But even it this was not the case, we would still HATE it. You cannot sweep it. We try to not wear shoes in the trailer, yet small stones always get in and hide in the weave and they have to be vacuumed to be removed. The vinyl fibers in the floor cause quick wear and pilling on our socks in addition to turning them brown. Any moisture that gets on the floor immediately soaks into the foam backing and subfloor.
We ended up putting down carpet runners and are considering changing to Marmoleum in the long term.
In our opinion, this was not a good flooring choice for a trailer. It seems others are not having the same issues as us, so your mileage may vary.

Your experience could possibly be a one-off, especially since you said it happened from the get-go. I'd take your Classic back to the factory or a dealer you trust. Show examples of what you have experienced and see what can be done.

We special ordered our Classic with a change order for the flooring. The trailer is currently being built, we expect to pick it up after the New Year. We ordered the flooring that comes in the Serenity. We decided on the change because we have a dog and I have a husband who refuses to take off his shoes in the trailer! I like to sweep and damp mop the floor at night and it just seemed easier with a vinyl floor. I know that Airstream installs all the cabinetry after the flooring goes in so I didn't want to deal with a tear out if the woven didn't work out.

4 months and we're having no issues with wear, but i does appear to be dirty, or darken in high traffic areas, we use a portable vac, and broom for daily cleanupo. I have spilled on the floor, and it cleans up well.

I am considering replacing my carpet with the Infinity woven vinyl flooring. I was hoping someone would have mentioned pet hair. It seems like it could easily get trapped in the weave. Can anyone enlighten me? Is this an issue? My 2 small dogs have short, relatively coarse hair. This flooring is pretty pricey. I don't want to instantly regret choosing it. Thanks in advance!

We originally thought we would replace it. Not because it's a bad flooring but for looks. But after being in the trailer for a total of 8 weeks we now love the flooring. It is easy to clean, including sweeping and spills just wipe right up. Dog hair sweeps and vacuums easily. No signs of wear, no black bottomed socks, no water issues. All good.

It is impervious stuff. Have towed over 50,000 miles, it's had red wine spilled on it, and lots of sandy feet, dog activity -- you name it. Go over it with the Dyson stick and it's fine. A sponge and soapy water gets whatever needs getting. I do have 3 runners, though....one 7 footer in front of the sofa and two others going down the center part of the trailer. They are Chinese rugs, very heavy wool. Why? There is very little that's soft in the trailer and the runners make the trailer a bit quieter, and they feel really good on bare feet. They also clean very easily.

Thank you both. The weave must be sealed or much tighter than it appears at first glance. It sounds like this might be a viable option for me. I'm still considering luxury vinyl tile or even sheet vinyl as well but I really like the look of the woven vinyl a lot.

We love this floor! Wouldn't have any other. We are putting up a durability video in a couple of weeks. We have been living with this floor for 7 month and have taken it to the dust of the desert and the mud of northern California and it is fantastic. It cleans easily, holds up to constant wear from foot traffic and two dogs. The dog hair just comes right up no problem. Spills clean up easily without soaking into the subfloor. It feels great under bare feet. I hope Airstream continues to install this in all of their models.
